Mendocino County

In 2003, Mendocino County and Aircon Energy worked together to develop a project for smaller facilities countywide.

The project included lighting, HVAC and controls retrofitted to nine county buildings. The project was the third project Aircon Energy had performed for Mendocino County. The fact that Mendocino County continues to work with Aircon for these design-build projects confirms the quality and value it receives from Aircon.

The project was funded with a low interest loan provided by the CEC (California Energy Commission). The CEC funding program is available for projects that implement state of the art energy saving designs and technologies that help the State of California meet its energy conservation initiatives. Aircon worked closely with the CEC to verify that the project was in compliance with all rules and regulations.

Project components included:

  • T8 lamps and electronic ballasts, lenses replacement, reflectors, compact fluorescent installation and LED exit signs
  • A/C package units
  • Duct modification
  • Delta controls DDC automation
  • Programmable thermostats
  • Aircon subcontracted the lighting portion of this project with Eagle Electric of Sacramento.
